Has anyone else noticed the quality of raw foods going down? I have used several brands lately and they are either sloppy and full of water - a 1kg pack of Paleo lamb tripe I defrosted ended up being almost half water, once I tipped the liquid away there was only 600g of the actual tripe left.

Cheaper brands are being loaded up with bone- dougies turkey and tripe was just full of bone granules.

i have given up - one of mine seems constipated due to the bone content and home prepared is inconvinient and expensive as is butternut box, so have gone back to a decent kibble with some forthglade or such added.

I noticed the bone content increase in the brand i use, my dog is quite bone intolerant so i add a decent amount of boneless mince to his daily food

I found the ones I fed were getting sloppier and so I’ve switched to Forthglade. Trying to find a kibble that my little fusspot can tolerate to mix with it if possible.

It's expensive now, too. Mine can't eat chicken or anything really fatty which knocks out most of the cheaper ones for me, but I've really noticed the price hike since I started doing raw 8 years ago. I know everything's gone up in price lately so maybe kibble's the same.

Yes, more bone, more fat, less actual meat. I like Just Natural as they're a coarse mince, not at all sloppy but you have to choose carefully as some have higher bone percentage than others.

Our 2 have Orijen, we have the 6 Fish, the Regional Red and the Tundra on the go to give them variation daily, along with Forthglade. Orijen now available at Pets at Home, Tundra now in 6kgs bags. Had email from Forthglade to say another price hike again 1st February.
