hello

I am going away without my animals (shock horror) and I know the girl who is babysitting will not mess around with raw, even if I leave it ready. {she really would faint. )

So who do you recomend as a supplier of pre packed frozen or otherwise food for my two ESS. That would be easy to either divide up before I go or for her to just dish up.

Honeys Real Dog Food - I wouldn't trust any one else... They do 250g chubbies as well as boxes.

I used to use Natural Instinct but was warned away from them by various vets. Partly because of the ingredients that they dont always list and because they are not as "Ethical". I like to be 100% sure about the companies I use for my animals feed, as I do with my own.

i would have said Natural Instinct too - please elaborate CF, I thought all their ingredients were listed? :eek:
 
yeah I would have said natural instinct too - its super easy to feed, ultimate complete raw dog food - whenever I get my mum to look after the dogs I pack them off with it. Apart from one of mine doesn't eat it - i think its a texture thing, he doesn't like mince - only chunks.

Yes, I would be interested too. I go to their shop every other week, they are lovely people who are very helpful and would probably like to know if people have an issue with them.

You have cast doubts on NI's ethics in 2 threads, but don't explain what you mean. What are your concerns?

I only use NI occasionally, but have always been very impressed with them.
 
I'm also interested in the unlisted ingredients issue. . .that's quite a serious accusation, not only re the health aspects but also from the perspective of trading standards. Also, if we believe one food is not listing accurately then who is to say any of the others are? There is simply no way anyone would know unless they did their own analysis. (Although recent events prove we can't be sure for people food, either. . . )

I actually don't feed it often as only one of my dogs is a real fan, but this is one of the problems of the internet, separating out the facts from the opinions, so I would like to see the info so I can make my own decisions.
 
I use waignwrights wet when they go in kennels it's too expensive for mine to go on NI. Last time I bought a bag of local supplier sensitive food ( £25 for what is basically CSJ no-grainer).

Worked well and didn't upset my springer x's intolerances
