Well, you really will think I am mad now, I took Chance today!!!! (New Horsie!)
35 in the dressage, I know I could have ridden better, but bear in mind I only got him Wed, and rode him properly for the first time yesterday. Schooled, then just popped one fence, May is in season and a pain, so thought, what the hell!
XC, not big, but a very technical course, two doubles - one on an angle - a treble through the devils dyke, ditches, steps, banks, dog legs - a very difficult course - Chance was an absolute Superstar and took me round! He jumped so big over the bush fence (18) I lost a stirrup, jumped 19 then did a circle before 20 to get it back, then rode crap at fence 23 (double bushes on a bank on an angle!!) had a silly stop, my fault, then he jumped it, down and over the treble in devils dyke. He was brill!
SJ, 4 faults, just had the planks as I buried him in them!! I did'nt click to keep the rhytham to 2 strides out then let him do it, the rest was fab!
So our team ended up coming 4th, very very pleased. He behaved fantastically all day - left the yard at 8.45am, back at the yard 7.50pm!
One v.happy, knackered bunny tonight
Vid to follow, but I've left the vid recorder in the horsebox
