Ok, so for those of you that weren't sure how the RC qualifiers were going to work with all the cancellations here's what area 17 decided..

As only Bourne Valley and Hampshire Rural RC's were the only ones with full senior open teams in our area (BV had 2.. they're so greedy!

) both clubs decided it would make the most sense to agree to put the team that would have the better chance at the champs forward. So they looked at everyone's last placing BE and the level that the respective rider's were competing at and placed everyone in a sort of theoretical way.. So, my trainer would've won and I came third - ha! However, we were the only 2 affiliated BE riders in our team whereas BV had a team with 3, so they won overall! Bizarre, but hey ho, area 17 will be represented!!

I hope that makes sense...

Strange but if its the only way.How did they decide on the novice and intermediate teams?
Just heard ours is still running on Sunday so will have to get the galloshers[sorry about spelling] out

I was a bit confused too FMC, perhaps the last RC ODE was also taken into account, although this wasn't the impression I got. But, I suppose as it was just HRRC and BVRC no one really seemed to mind, I think BV are the better team tbh and least our area will be represented. I wonder if I get a rosette..

It was just the open trials last week so I'm not sure about novice or intermediate? Perhaps they've already run earlier in the year and qualified properly! Can't think what would happen if any other RC's are in the same situation elsewhere though?
