RDA Coaching exams/qualifications

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place...I'm not quite sure where it belongs.

I'm planning to do my RDA coaching exams - I'm pretty much there for my first one (I think it's Green Card coach?? The one where you have to teach a couple sessions at different RDA groups), due to prior experience and qualifications. After that I'd really like to do the RDA Advanced Coach.

I just wondered if anyone had any experience with the exams i.e. what you thought of them? How easy or hard you found them to prepare for/pass? How similar they are (in terms of what they look for) to BHS/UKCC? What use they have/if they're valued by clients outside of RDA groups?

Basically any insight you can give me would be appreciated.

I've volunteered with RDA, and spoken to a few volunteer coaches but just wanting to get the input of a few others too.

Have you got your log book? In it there are explanations and charts of how to attain all the modules needed to get the different qualifications. You need to be registerd with the main RDA organisation and you will recieve all the up dates. As a coach you can be useful at any level, there is much to learn, huge responsibility to the riders and to the horses. I was a coach for 20 years and it is very rewarding but requires enormous dediction. There are now assessments rather than exams I think you will find, courses need to be attended and signed off and obviously regular attendance at your chosen group.
