My first day, yesterday, at my local RDA group as a volunteer was great fun and very rewarding. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, plenty of cofee and nice biccies!
Working with the children was even better than I thought it would be and I will be there every week from now on.
If you've ever thought of helping, as I have for years, but not got around to it, look up your local group on the main website and give it a go. You only do as much as is possible for you, so if you can't commit to every week, that's fine. These groups are desperate, particularly for horsey people like us.
Thanks to Jess on here for giving me the nudge! xx

Well done, it's makes such a difference to the people that ride there. It's made such a massive difference to my friend, both mentally and physically. Far far better than anything the NHS has done xx

Fany, no. no Ardennes. Mostly small (13.2 ish ponies) and one lovely coloured cob. There was a nice MW hunter-type and an old TB ex polo pony in the pm group for older kids.
