Well following on from everyones comments, this is what my vet had to say.
Firstly he was very impressed wth the condition of his feet not over trimmed and not lame due to being footsore, my EP is not at fault.
after a lameness examination,he feels the first vet,s diagnosis of navicular could be wrong and this could be a coffin joint issue.
He is coming back to inject steroids to see if this improves him, meanwhile he is on danilon and no work.
My vet and EP will work together, at the moment my vet feels he is better off barefoot,
but if it dosn,t work out he will be shod with my EP,s blessing as he is not a fanatical barefooter and agrees that good remedial farriery is sometimes needed.
