Well... i rode Blue last night (stole the dressage saddle again...seems to help although this could just be in my head!) and did LOADS of transitions, halt to walk, walk to trot, trot to canter, walk to canter, etc etc. Lots of sitting trot as he seems to go better when i do sitting trot. (Yes have finally mastered it after a Summer practising!) Rode him for over an hour just doing more and more and towards the end he was happy to work long and low like you all suggested in trot... stayed like this for a couple of circles so i though i'd try canter. This was successful, he stayed in the same shape although not for very long so i brought him back to trot and he immediately went back how i wanted.
So thanks!!
And i guess i'd be right in saying that i should just keep doing this?
I have a 30min lesson later with him although i am going to warm him up for at least 20mins first or there is not much point in having a lesson really!!
