well i am now the proud owner of a lovely liverspotted 1yo dally called lexie

hes a little sweetie traveled really well (3hour journey) we were told he gets car sick but he wasn't
he settled down last night didn't chew anything or cry (we were told he would)
so he has just slotted in really well

he does growl at stranger but he was beaten and abused quite a bit as a pup so we are working on that

he has been to see izzy and loved her however even though he has lived with cats before thats not a loving partner ship yet so anytips on how to get them used to each other would be greatly appreciated(sp) they have seen each other through a glass door and he has smelt cats tail (cat wasn't too impress) when lex gets tired cat is a bit more adverturous(sp) and will walk really close to him and lie down

piccies will follow as soon as i upload them

Pics please!!

We've got 4 cats and 3 dalmations at the moment, and it seems to be the cat that determines whether they get on with the dog rather than the other way round. One of our cats sleeps with the dogs, while the others prefer to to socialise with the dogs. You're cat sounds like one that will stand her ground, which is good with a dally! As long as they don't upset each other I don't personally think it matters if they're best of friends or keep at arm's length.

Good luck with him. We've recently had pups and kept one who's now 12 weeks old. No yard equipment is safe!!

Ours was severely abused and did take a while to settle - even all these years on she still gets nervous and shakes if something triggers a memory - but you will get there dont worry
