 Didn't want to hi-jack the last post on do we like Friesians or not.:) Would be very grateful for some help from all you Friesian fans on what rugs you use to preserve the mane and stop rubbing. Mine had a beautiful mane last summer but after a winter of combo rugs he started spring with a gap of about 12ins along his neck. I am looking for an outdoor mw and a stable mw. His Premier Equine outdoor is great as he wear that as jammas too, but it is 450grm weight so is too warm for a lot of the year. Went to the Friesian grading show at Leicester a few weeks ago and I know a lot of the professionals use Snuggy Hoods, but would have liked a combo if poss. Looks like I will be in last years winter coat again!:D

Masta Rugs are not too bad. The front straps are lower down on the chest so not so much pressure on the wither / bottom of the mane area. My Boy has the Masta Combo. His under rug has a satin / poly lining so doesn't rub the mane so much/ That and lots of "Mane and Tail" preps. :)
