RE: Horse stabbed to death

that's so horrible. some people are sick beyond comprehension.
i hope they find the person/s responsible, shut them in a stable where they can't escape and leave the poor horses owner alone with them for an evening
 
So upsetting, poor family. It's my worst nightmare, I hate stabling my horse because his yard is isolated- at least in the field he might have a chance of running away. =0(

It beggars belief, the idea that people will set out to enter a stable, with a weapon, to damage an animal they do not know and then go back six months later and do the same to another one.......
 
I can understand your mix up Stormyhorse there are so many incidents happening lately but your thinking of the
b@----d that was jailed today for attacking Maggie.
 
Its just unbelievable that anyone can do this.....

I have been on the receiving end twice, firstly my YO's horse was slashed and had her leg broken, mine was with her and had some superficial wounds to his leg (The same one as was broken on the mare) and a impact type injury to his shoulder, she was PTS he was OK but did have problems in his shoulder in later life. Within days 2 more horses in the area had injuries to the same leg.

Then a few years later my mare had her hocks slashed whilst out in her field, fortunately she made a full recovery but it was touch and go whether it was deep enough to have done permanent damage.

I just makes you feel so sick and also you become twitchy about anyone hanging around, your mind goes into overtime trying to work out who might have done it, was it personal, could you have done somthing to prevent it.. but is just some sick b******d!!
