I can see why they shouldn't be doing it but on the other hand and this is the side I'm swaying towards - think how many times they practice and practice and actually do it without incident?

The Army's idea of practising is nothing compared to civvy street so it's a tough one. I saw them do the display at Olympia one year (talk about small space) and the precision was quite astounding. It all boils down to tradition too
 
I don't want a horse to die to entertain me ,we were at Windsor on Friday and Saturday . We didn't see the tattoo but the sounds were very loud and the stabled showjumpers and show horses were panicking . I don't wish to stop an amazing tradition but would be happy if they were not quite so close.
Certain everyone was really upset by the incident and RIP Capriole
