So my sister had to loan out her lovely gent ex-racer TB because she's got prolapsed vertebrae - not horse related I hasten to add
We went through the whole thing and he ended up going on 6 month loan to a lovely young girl who was besotted with him. Roll on 4 months and unfortunately the loanee is having her hours at work cut and she doesn't think she can afford to keep him so we've to loan him out again (I say we because big sis needs a hand with it all). It's a real shame as she was really nice and they got on great shakes together
So horse re-advertised and there has been lots of interest - great!
Trying to whittle it down a bit but I was wondering:
How many prospective loanee's would you have in one day? I thought max of 5 bearing in mind we'd like to get a few up there in one day because it's going to be at the current loanee's yard which is about an hours drive - mum is having to drive sis out which is difficult for her with work and her pony etc - so we'd ideally like to get it done fairly quickly so there isn't too much back and forth and we won't have to keep sorting out times that would be good for the YO here there and everywhere.
How long would you "book in" each person for? I was thinking about an hour for Q&A, groom, tack up & the ridden part which should leave us a little time between people?
What do you think?
