Thanks to all that replied yesterday - calmed me down after panicking about destructahorse.
A friend turned her out this morning and said that the lump seemed to have gotten warmer, but she looked ok trotted up and still didn't mind it being touched.
I've looked at it again tonight and it's gotten smaller but is harder? It's resistant but spongy on the outside, as in you can push your finger against it but not too much before you meet a hard bit. My sister thinks she can feel something that feels like a vein going across it?
She's had some soothing gel on it, and we trotted her up and she looked fine, although maybe a bit less willing to stride out with that leg but hardly noticeable so maybe just imagination!
I couldn't see a puncture or anything on it to suggest a fly bite. However it is likely that she could have been kicked in the field as she is out with other horses.
Suggestions as to what to do? Or should we just see how it goes?
