RE - My gorgeous cob has a broken leg/Rossdales

My lad went into Rossdales and I couldn't speak highly enough about them. The staff, all of them, vets, nurses and yard were SO brilliant, handled us and him SO SO amazingly well. I have been to a.n.other big horsey hospital elsewhere and if I have the choice should I need a horsey hosital again Rossdales would win hands down without a doubt.

Hugs and well wishes to you and your horse, thinking of you. x x x

I'm so sorry to hear your news. Rossdales are fabulous to deal with - I seem to be on the phone/fax/e-mail to them daily atm. He'll be in the very best of hands. Hugs!

Oh, poor you, you must be so stressed out.
Rossdales are fantastic, my mare went there a few years ago for a week, they had a poke in her stifle under GA. She was fine.
Will be thinking of you tomo.
xx

Just to say wishing him all the best luck in the world. Rossdales is a wonderful place. Try not to worry about the GA, if a big old clydie like Cairo can get through it ok many times then no reason why your chap won't. Cairo had one this year at the age of 21 and was fine.

I travelled Fleur with her back leg up to the hock in plaster and she was fine - even though she was a bugger to load. I am sure Rossdales like the AHT have a loading area you back back your lorry/trailer into with the ramp able to be almost flat to load them - no steep cliimb on/off.

Staff at these places are wonderful - Cairo is so spoilt at the AHT that he is unbearable for a week after coming home demanding pampering and feeds done just so.

Depending on which part of Herts you are in, it is an easy journey - A10/M25 - M11 - A14 so nice straight roads with no bumps and it won't take that long. Takes me from Epping to AHT (not that far away) about 1 hour 20 mins (55 miles) and that is driving about 45 - 50 in the horsebox.

My horse went to Rossdales. The care and expertise was exceptional. They even bathed my mare for me when I went to collect her so she was lovely and clean. The grooms really care for the horses and its a fab place. Your horse couldnt go to a better place. Good luck.
