I posted a short while ago saying that I needed some motivation to go and actually spend some time with Ethel. Well, as I had the day off work today, I did just that
I changed her bed from shavings to straw which for some odd reason I actually enojyed doing, despite the 7 trips to the muck heap which is through the muddy field as she has been deep littered all winter
I then brought her and her fieldmate in and let Ethel have a run around in the school, and run around is exactly what she did .. for AGES! She wouldn't stop when I wanted to catch her take her back in so I thought, perfect time for some join up
I'm glad I did it, it was hard work as she was reluctant to join up with me, but we eventually got there and soon enough she was following me around the school, when I ran she trotted after me, when I stopped she stopped too and it just made me really happy. I don't have any pictures of that, I wish I did but there is never anyone with me at the yard, but afterwards I gave her a groom and put her new rugs on to see if they fit and got some pics
Also, how do you think she is looking? I think she's pretty good for a poor doing TB coming out of winter
Her new ruggies
Whats this thing?
ETA - Ignore her neck!! It's a work in progress!
