....about the elderly horse whose owner was going to have him PTS because of his permanent unsoundness (combined with the fact that her family are going through the mire at the moment and she has nowhere he can retire happily)....

She got in touch with his previous owner (from 10 years back) to find out if there was anything she needed to know that could help him. It looks like he will never be truly sound again, but when the previous owner found out that he was going to be put down, she was horrified and has offered to have him back, so that he can retire peacefully with her other horses. So it looks like the old boy is going to have a happy ending after all!
