re-occuring Uveitis

I have read most of your blog. Poor pony, it really sounds like you have done everything possible to save the eye, but you know if you have to remove it, it may not be such a bad thing for him, all the pain and constant intervention would be in the past. I have known of one-eyed horses and they adapt well, you just have to approach from the side they have vision so as not to alarm them.

The best mask for Uveitis is the Guardian mask.

Tamz thanks for that. we've had a good few one-eyed ponies/horses in the past and know they cope really well. It just seemed only fair to give this lad the best chance...I think that time may have passed now. We also have in a yearling mini-shetland, Mannie, who is blind in one eye too..and a rottie at home who is one -eyed... we ought to be called The Cyclops Sanctuary at this rate!
I'll look at the guardian mask now.

Hi, havent read the story it comes up page unanvailable

But just wondering if youve tried a gaurdian mask.
I bought one for my youngster a couple of years ago when he got a thorn in his eye, due to his medication he wasnt able to go out in the daylight, but this mask enabled him to do that and his eye healed up lovely.
