This is becoming a bit of a saga but any help/ thoughts/ ideas are desperately sought. On my return visit to the vets to go through the initial diagnosis of wobblers I asked to see the blood test results taken from my horse on the day she had a strange turn (as explained in Part 1/ Part 2 of my postings) A couple of things stood out...the level of urea was high and calcium levels were low. At the end of the report it mentioned something about mild muscle damage. The vet acknowledged these may be significant and so has been back to take a further blood test. In the meantime, if anyone understands what these might mean, I'd love to hear from you.

That sounds like a form of tying up which would link in with possible muscle damage. Drat, I can't remember if it is low magnesium or low calcium which causes staggers in cows. Anyone???
