re-proofing blankets

What's the best solution or product to use to re waterproof horse blackets after they have been washed?

Are you washing your own rugs?? I normally get mine reproofed at the same time as I send them away.

For washing anything water proof use a non-bio without softener and the item should not require proofing.

If I need to reproof anything, I use nikwax in a spray (my washing machine is not big enough for 7'3" t/o rugs)
