Re-Proofing winter rugs...

any one done their own? which product works best? and how did you get on?
dont really want to buy a wash in one, as dont think my mum would be too happy about putting it in the machine!

I think the only ones which work are wash in ones. Take it to your local tack shop / rug washing place and they'll do it all for you. Our local laundret does it along with fixing etc. The rug needs to be really clean for any spray to work anyway so you might as well get it washed in!

I have always used the Nik-Wax wash-in stuff and it has been hugely successful. However, most rugs won't fit into most home washers. We put the bigger rugs into an old bath to wash/reproof.
