Love our riding school but son has now outgrown it and I'm looking for a riding school that will also suit for his older years, thinking somewhere that will have opportunity for challenge awards so he can side step into BHS stages later

I live nowhere near you, sorry.
You need to look at the BHS website which lists recognised schools. Pony club centres are also listed on line, and they run their own tests. But there is no substitute for going to look and watching a lesson or two.

Depending on how far you're willing to travel, I'd recommend Wellington. Closer to home, one of the saddle club may be able to help.
