I need help & advise. I own a 12 yr TB x WB 12.2hh gelding, who has the potential to go far, bt may be not with me!!! I have had some incidents with him (in the begining) which make me a little nervous on him (bolting & falling off, but being dragged first!). Stick me on something else & Im fine. He is a sensitive boy who can jump th emoon. Though he gets cockey as he thinks he knows what he is doing over mum! Also he gets over his nerves quicker than me which does not help. I love him to bits, but I think he may need someone who has more experiance & guts than me in the eventing/jumping feild. Dont get me wrong I am a good rider, but with the history I have with him is holding me & him back. I need a confidence boost & so does he really!

Please can you help. I have tried looking for people like Will and Ginny Turnbull etc but can not find any contact numbesr website etc. I am in the notts /lincs boarder area.

" I own a 12 yr TB x WB 12.2hh gelding",

Firstly a 12.2hh pony would scare anyone eventing :p Hope that's a typo!

If you look on the BE website for accredited trainers, you will find who is in your area with contact details. They would be a good place to start as if they don't school horses themselves they will be able to put you in touch with somebody locally who does.

How bad is it? Are you after a quick fix or would you consider loaning out to see if a different person can get on with it? Some human/horse pairings just don't work for neithers fault. I have a ballsy very talented 5ft11 teen looking for an unaffiliated ride to maybe take on to affiliate. We're not far from you but it would have to come to her yard. Pm me if you think it might be a solution. She's away teaching riding abroad until start of august but I could view to get an idea and bring her as soon as she lands! If not what you're after good luck but i'm afraid I have no better suggestions.

Thank you for that info I have PM'd you.

I think I just need some help to be honest as when we are together as such we are such a team! Need to make it more consistant.
