The vet has seen the video and visited Tom. It seems he has neurological problems caused by his advancing years. He will be 26 on the 3rd of July. The only treatment is an injection of cortisones when I see him having an 'attack' to be continued for 3 days. He's not suffering in any way and is otherwise healthy and happy. Im even thinking about tacking him up again and going for a walk around the fields-I think he would enjoy it :)
Thankyou all for your advice and the pms asking about him :)

thanks for the update, although not the brightest news it's not the worst either, at least you now know that he's not in pain:) Did the vet say it would be alright to ride him, if he happened to have an episode while you were on board would it be dangerous:confused:

Vet said it would help stimulate his body/brain and as (for the moment) the attacks are as seen on the video, I would have time to get off and bring him home in hand. I wont be doing anything too extravagant with him so hopefully....!!!! :)

I'm not your friend on FB and I want to see her too! No fair!

Good news that Tom is basically alright bless his cottons :)

Thanks for the update, I was very curious to know what was going on with Tom.

Glad to hear it is not painful or particularly limiting for him. :)

How funny, i was just about to send a message asking if you knew anything yet. Thank goodness it is something you can control easily. I take it he left some cortisone with you to do it if and when you need to. I still reckon he will love a wee hack, bet he carts you :D :p
