Have been asked to judge at a local show, one of the classes is for Retrained Racehorse. Have not judged these before.. what in particular am I looking for? I'm sure 'way of going' is most important but what about confirmation, movement/ manners etc? Is the length of time out of training important?
Any ideas gratefully recieved from those of you who show or judge these.

No different to judging any other class - on conformation and way of going. Some societies allow racing related blemishes and some don't so just check the rules.

Time out of training shouldn't be an issue - again like any other showing class the one that looks and goes best on the day should win :)

Manners, way of going and suitability for the discipline they are retrained in are the usual ones.
