thanks wagtail for your advice about the bit. I will look into trying one, i dont fancy forking out £45 for every bit so will have a look at the bit bank to see about trying them. However he has been in this bit for 2 weeks now and hasnt actually tongue poked. I am going to have my first lesson on him today so may try without the flash to see how he goes as it doesnt actually do anything as its so loose at moment...think full size head with pony size muzzle!! He is a very odd shape in general..16.3 but 6' rugs!
