Has anybody done it? My Aigle Iso Parcours are now going into their 5th winter and are fabulous. However, this means I wear them from October to April most years and the grip is starting to get thin, not slick, just not as grippy as they could be. I've just watched a couple of YouTube videos of blokes using utility knives to re-tread work boots and wondered if anyone has done it with wellies or taken them to a cobbler to do it? Reluctant to buy a new pair of wellies for the sake of slightly better grip!

Only way to know for sure is to take them to a cobbler! (Me being ever so helpful!)

Honestly I wouldn’t have thought it could be done but you never know.

You can (a cobbler can) slice off the sole from a worn deck shoe and stick on a new one, so I assume you can do the same with a commando sole. On my walkiung boots the leather usually cracks through on the upper before the soles and heels wear down mooth.
