With ref to what does horse like , i ask what does your horse hate, ???? mine hates being seperated doesnt like isolation , or walking slow , actualy she cant do this haha

Mine hates anyone overtaking him (at any speed) he will try to bite the offender. I don't really mind, I think we are of a like mind. I will say hay stop it, but I don't really care. We like to go first.

Hates the farrier with a passion.

Also hates the yard owner, which comes in handy if she doesn't want to load, he comes up behind her and she runs on the trailer :-)

Daisy hates doing things that don't agree with her plans for the day. She has very particular ideas about when she should be fed, which field she would like to be turned out in and how a leg yield should be practiced. She's awesome if you can persuade her that something was her idea and a little g*t if you can't.

Mine's not great friends with the yard dog and also doesn't like cantering or generally putting in any physical effort. On her very first ever hack out, my friend bombed off on her horse, in an attempt to gee mine up a bit. I was gripping on for grim death, just in case we exploded. All it resulted in however was my 3 year old taking an even more relaxed approach to life! Never known a ned like it! Am grateful though - I'm not one for fireworks anymore.

My old girl hates many things

Rugs. As soon as you carry one towards her her ears go
back and she twitches, fidgets and bites the door to show her
contempt.

Also doesn't like you to put on her bridle, she likes to put it on herself
- you hold out the bit, she moves over and opens her mouth and picks
it up. Very strange but she always puts it on.

Oh and she will not go in the school. Under any circumstancesM
Due to a previous owner doing too much schooling
I guess, so we had to do schooling out hacking.

Oh and she can't stand water or rather getting her feet wet.
She will go to extreme lengths to avoid it

She also hates strangers and won't look at them, she hides
her head in the corner of the stable if someone comes up she
doesn't know. I think she thinks that if she can't see them then
they can't see her

It does mean nobody can catch her other than
me and a friend that helps me though, which can be a pain

Actually come to think of it she is a quirky old bat but we get
along just fine

Scooby hates getting his feet wet or muddy - trying to get him through the field gate is a nightmare because there's a huge poached patch there, he tries to cat-leap over it and nearly runs me over.

Other than that there's not much he hates, he's a pretty easy-going pony.

Summer (the grey) LOVES biscuits, rolling in poo and filth. HATES donkeys and polo mints.

Merlin (the chestnut) LOVES expensive apples, scratching his bum on fences. HATES taking his bridle off and patches of new tarmac on the road.

Crazy creatures

Chinook (Yearling gelding) loves fuss and time spent with him, cuddles and kisses galore. Trying new things, carrots and apples. Especially loves a 2 year old mare at our yard. Plays the game "get to the gate before mum and dad" so we stop and give him more fuss lol .Dislikes mud intensely and will jump even the tiniest in front of him.
Sharna (17yr old mare) loves to tell you when she has had enough of you and will either ignore you or walk away, loves to make you look stupid when you are riding her, puts her parts on if you disturb her when she is enjoying a meal. Loves to follow you around the field with her head on your shoulder, loves smelling flowers! (well she is a girlie) favorite treat is an orange. Loves a scratch on her withers.

Dor only hates electric fencing...

She tried to climb out of her paddock when she first arrived in england, so climbed up the side of a big oak tree and stepped over the fence (most horses would have jumped... no, not Dor!).
Of course, she then got stuck, and on top of the fence was electric fencing.

After about two hours of being shocked before she was found, she wouldn't even walk over it on the floor. You could turn her out in a small circle of tape laying on the floor, come back an hour later and she'd be looking very sorry for herself, but be completely unable to walk across it.

Unless you had her on a leadrein. Then she knew she was safe!

I can't think of much my horses hate... they won't eat brussel sprouts, thats about it! Otherwise, they're all very easy.
