Re. who's in charge?

following on from FMM's thread the other day about who is in charge and whether horses might do things on their own I found the 2 videos that I mentioned . I do like the first one, though the horse looks a little confused at what to do once he has finished!

Those made me laugh. Brilliant.
However, I wonder how unusual it actually is ? One of mine loves jumping and grids. If I take him in the school bridle less, as soon as he sees them, he's off with enthusiasm. He does the circuit and then changes direction and goes the other way and repeats until I stop his fun.
My mare will lunge herself around me with no lunge line, changing direction on request.
They do enjoy playing gymkana games and games like Simple Simon and Musical Statues too. No carrot stick involved. I obviously have no life...or human friends.

Very good! My lad, when free schooling will stick to the lunge area, just as if he is being lunged and jump the fence but stay on the track. Think it is just what they are used to.
