Hi,

I clipped my 6yo TB atthe weekend for the first time. He was very well behaved but last night Inoticed 4 or 5 little bumps on his back. They feel like bites but I wondered ifthey could be a reaction to the clipping? My ISH have never had a reaction buthe is my first TB so I wondered if maybe he was just a little sensitive?

Any ideas or anyone had the same experience.

Thanks J

Could well be - I have to give my coblet a dettol bath after clipping or he gets lumps.
Other things to consider are washing products on numnah/heat/sweat, which are now closer to his skin then usual?

It may be the oil you used on the clippers? I've clipped my mare the last 9 yrs and the only time she got lumps all over her, which some of them were really big, was last year when I changed the oil I was using. I went back to my original oil and she was fine.

Thanks everyone. Looks like it was a reaction as the lumps have all gone now. Will change my oil and also wash him down well after the next clip.
