Readigrass, graze on, ultra grass & just grass

I have used readigrass before and found it quite stalky and although my veteran ate it he wasn’t overly keen. Has anyone used graze on, ultra grass or just grass? Are they also stalky or quite soft?

Not used Ultra Grass but used Just Grass and Graze on.

Graze On is much softer that readiGrass so your horse may prefer it. I prefered it over Just Grass as it smelt and looked nicer! Horses eat anything so had no complaints about either.
 
so is just grass softer than readigrass? I just checked the nutritional value and it's lower in protein than ultra grass and will be easier to get hold of so prob better for my boy. thanks
 
Last time I saw a bag of Graze On it was like pine needles.

ReadiGrass was much softer - just like dried grass. I had to stop feeding it though due to protein levels.
 
*tries to remember what Just Grass looks like as it was a while ago*. I think Just Grass is a bit softer than the Graze On but didn't smell as nice. Def softer than ReadiGrass.

You do need to bear in mind that it's a natural product and it's texture varies with the weather.
 
A friend of mine is feeding her gelding on box rest this....can you feed it aswell as feeding them 3 meals a day?

I love the smell!!!

oh and my mare needs building up.
 
I use either graze on or ready grass - mine eat it regardless

I've only tried Readigrass and Graze on.
I got very pi$$ed off prizing the Readigrass out of the bag...it seemed to take hours to pull out even a handful, and my horses weren't so keen.
I now buy Graze On and all four that we feed on it really like it, and even more importantly, it isn't like trying to get wire wool through the eye of a needle to grab a handful at feed time.
