Haven't posted on here for a long time, but for those of you who remember, my mare Tia had a stillborn colt at 356 days last year. Well after lots of discussions with our fab stud vet, some treatment for Tia and a very helpful stud (Lynaire Sport Horses are fab :D) we decided to try again. We've tried not to think about it too much but it's been hard not to get our hopes up just a little bit when we have seen foalie at scans (she has had lots of scans and regular monitoring throughout). Tia was 320days on Saturday so went to our vets to settle in ready to foal down, looks so much more pregnant than last time so fingers crossed for a safe arrival, will keep you all updated!

I visited her after work tonight and I swear she is bigger compared to Saturday morning! She was never as big last time so we are hoping it is a good sign :)

Sounds like you might getter a bigger, stronger foal this time and she's in the right place :)

That won't stop you worrying though!

Good luck!

I really hope that it is a very happy and successful foaling for you and your mare. All fingers and hooves crossed for you :D

Hey Lauren I no exactly how you feel I went though it last year as well my mare lost her colt at 348 days was so upset didn't no wat to do for best but like you after long talks to vet I decided again we at 321 days today :) wish you and Tia all the luck can't wait to see foaly pics :) xxx

ooo!! I remember you and your mare!! good luck!! :D
fingers crossed for a bouncing baby soon! is she due now or do we have to wait a bit longer for the due date?!

Thankyou for all your fingers/toes/hooves crossing and wishes of good luck! :) Just over 2 weeks to go as Tia is 324days today. She is so much bigger than last time and vets reported yesterday that the calcium levels are rising each day when they milk test her so not convinced she will go to 340 days.

elumpshie - fingers and toes crossed and best of luck with your mare! Please keep us updated and post photos when foalie arrives!

amy_b - wasn;t sure if people would remember or not, if I can remember how to post photos I will put some on and hopefully everyone will agree she looks huge this time around
