Ready made horses, yes or no!

I always produced my own, partly because I could not afford a reay made horse and partly because I don't have the money or training to compete at a high level and partly because winning is only part or the fun for me.

If I was serious about competing at a high level and had the money and time I'd buy a dressage schoolmaster tomorrow.

Always a money decision for me - I can buy something that has done a bit, but it would have to be pretty poor quality or have major 'issues' for me to afford it.

Otherwise I can buy something that has done nothing. Most recently I have a had a couple of 3 year-olds out of Gorsebridge sales and an ex-racehorse out of Doncaster. First 2 got to BE Novice level, racehorse is a bit chicken but has managed PN so far.

I don't believe that people who spend big money on horses have all that much more fun than me!

(I do get quite jelous though)
