Anyone feeding/fed it?
I had my TB on the ReadyMash Extra which worked an absolute treat for weight gain. He was lovely and plump, but it was unfortunately rocket fuel and sent him into orbit :D

We switched to Fibre Beet, which is good but he's started to look slightly ribby.
Any cases of the Soultion Mash sending a horse off it's head? Also is it worth the investment (£16.75 for a bag!) and is it a good weight gain product?

Hi. We currently feed solution mash to my daughters section b. He was underweight when we got him and is now just about right. Certainly hasnt fizzed him up, in fact has had the opposite effect , instructor recently suggested we need to feed him something to give him more energy, but am reluctant to change as he looks so well on it.

That's brilliant, thank you! :)

I tried it with my TB after using the Readymash Extra. She took one sniff and refused point blank to eat it. I did persevere, but never got anywhere with it!

The RM extra sent mine absolutely bonkers! I've used solution mash for last couple of winters & he's fine on that. He's naturally a very lean horse but think this helps with his weight, he's also mega fussy but loves this stuff!

My mare lived out last Winter and had this feed, she looked wonderful on it and did really well. Didnt affect her behaviour at all,

Use Ready Mash Extra for my 2 veterans...it's wonderful & they look fab on it; hard to tell if it affects their behaviour as they've always been skitty :)

I love solution mash it has been great for keeping weight on our horses over the winter and gave them a lovely shiny coat too! My boy (17.1 RID) was fed two scoops topchop lite with two scoops of solution mash till christmas and is now on 1 scoop of each as hes abit on the portly side for a rising 5 year old

Ive used the ready mash extra aswell which is good too, I dont find the blue ready mash does much

I only pay £15.49 a bag for it

i was about to try the ready mash extra, but don't want to make my girl loopy, i thought they claim it would nt do this? then again, we all know every horse behaves differently to the same roducts

I fed.Readymash Extra for many years before switching to Solution mash when diagnosed with a higer ACTH (PPID) He was noticeably less fizzy, however the solution mash has worked well with him. I get it for £14.89 a bag and it keeps him going where other feeds have failed to help.

Ready mash extra really keeps our toothless oldie in good shape. He's way past being fizzy though. The other oldies are on the green ready fibre mash and do fine on that. They do fizz up a bit if they ever accidentally get fed the extra. If the winter keeps being bad we may try them on the solution mash for a while and see how they do on that..
