I posted this morning about the Forage Plus and Progressive Earth hoof supplements. I was looking to try my horse on one but was worried about their palatability as my horse is very fussy indeed. Having read some of the comments I've decided not to risk trying either of these options at the moment as I think the chances of him turning his nose up at them are too high.

I've been looking at alternatives and have come across the ReadySupp hoof supplement. Has anybody tried this, could you get your horse to eat it if so and did you feel it helped?

Thanks.

Just had a quick look at the website. I'd completely ignore the biotin supplement - it's rubbish on it's own as a hoof supplement.

The hoof aid contains "algal meal"... any seaweedy type of stuff is stinky and tastes nasty. If you have a picky eater, then it may not be the best to start with (and btw, a dose of 60mg biotin is complete overkill, 30mg is considered max dose needed, as the body produces biotin in the hind gut, any extra it doesn't need it immediately excreted)
