We bought a 13hh NF X pony last February in foal and was told she wasn't broken (she's about 8) She had a lovely filly in May. Was thinking of selling her as a companion. Anyway my daughter has recently started lessons again after losing confidence 2 years ago. I decided to see what this pony had done in the past, now that foalie is close to weaning. No problems with bridle, pad and roller and lunging so i knew she had had some education. Tonight we had saddle on and daughter leaned over, pony never moved. Thinking of getting someone in to really try her out (don't want to knock daughter's confidence again) Really pleased though as she is a super little girl and may well stay with us now until filly is ready to be broken

Yay sounds like she has had stuff done with her...do you have a experianced small adult to try the first sit on....but good news anyway..good luck Ax

I do know of a lady who freelances teaching and she is small (about same height as my daughter) so i will probably get her to do a few sessions. Trouble is pony is very out of shape (still looks in foal) so will take a lot of getting back. Also need to get a small saddle about 15", tried Magics 17" and 52" girth on with a big poly pad tonight
