When clipping, obviously you cant clip if the horse is wet, But is it safe to clip if the ground is wet.

Our electric socket is quite a way from where the horses can be, so we need to use a long extension cable and then the clipper cable is there too obviously.
Are they designed so that they can lay on a wet floor when you do things? Or must the ground be dry

I was debating this while waiting for a dry day to clip! But today was dry so I didnt need to worry, but I do tend to wait until a perfect day!
 
Most clipper and extension cables are pretty robust so long as no-one lets their horse stand on it! I've done it when wet, I don't see that it makes a difference.
 
Fold up a tarp and set them on that, and use one of those extensions with the cut off switch - the sort for lawn mowers? Husband says this is safe, he is however prone to being mistaken...

Ask in B&Q! They sell electrical stuff for gardening, so ought to know :)
