really dont know what to do

You need to get real and take a deep breath and stop crying.

She has to go - FACT - so just get rid of her - and the jobs done

This is very hard - FACT but she has to go - so pick up the phone to the dealer that will offer you 1500 and tell them to take her - if a dealer is willing to pay 1500 - they will have to put her up for at least 2.5 to get a remotley decent profit out of her so someone will have to be willing to pay decent money in the end for her which might give you an insight that she should go to a half decent home.

Please dont send her to Milfield Stud - they were once local to me but have now moved - I would not send a rabid dog there

Best of Luck x

What a tricky situation! I would lower her price to £2000 or £2200 i know it seems daft but it is tricks on the mind, if you need to get as much as possible let her go for that without the rugs then put the rugs on ebay or put an ad up in your local saddlers. Have you advertised her locally in saddlers etc? Why is she costing you £400 pcm? that seems a lot in the summer.... if you can't lower this cost then I would let her go to a dealer as in a months time you will be £400 down then so roughly you will get back £2000 after you have repaid the £400 so if you let her go for £1500, sell rugs and tack seperately you have made more or less what you wanted... does that make any sense? If you were closer to me I would help you out.

sorry your having a tough time but you need to get a grip.

The photo's are rubbish - im currently looking for a youngster and would just skip past this, you cant even see what she looks like. Borrow someone's dig camera, ask around im sure someone at your yard will have one. Get some decent pictures of her under saddle etc.

Put the advert on everything - adtrader is good, anything that is free, there are a million diff sites where you can post free ads.

Get off your backside and go to local yards/tackshops/riding schools/competition centres and put add's up.

Reduce the price to 2k ONO

Get a grip or u wont get anywhere.

Sorry

have already said that im going to try and get round some tackshos etc this week - i work in a hospital and work unsociable hours which mean i cant really do it normally. I have been on the phones to dealers, centres etc this afternoon - am actually of work today as work sent me home this morning !! havent put new pics up as the ad expires in 2 days anyway - plus the speed of which i need her gone is the most important and im thinking that dealers are going to be the best option that way. I am prepared to drop the price again - i just need to get someone to come out and look at her

I would remove the photos from your ad, or replace them, and I would drop the price to £1900.

I can only assume you have her on full livery if she is costing you £400pm in July, could you look for somewhere DIY to keep her?

The ad is finishing in 2 days. Need to have her on full livery as i work unsociable hours in a hospital and cant get up to the yard twice a day - sometimes not even once a day!!

have just spoken to Julie bt she is downsizing and not taking anymore on because she is moving premises

ah, ok -thought she might be good. I am however amazed that Judi Thurloe wouln't take her. Thre must be a different reason as she does have mares - I know of two cracking ones that have come from her.

Good luck, but if you do want her gone then you are going to have to toughen up a bit.
Could you send her to york sales at the end of the month?

If she could stay out on grass 24/7 (as we only have enough stables for our three) and didn't mind being on her own whilst ours were in for a few hours a day, she might be able to come and stay with us for a while for much much less than £400/month.

I was just thinking...surely you could out her on grass livery somewhere to ease the pressure on you.

It sounds to me like you need her gone ASAP but don't have the heart to sned her to a dealer.... i can understand this, there are some nice dealers around, but its the thought of not knowing where she will end up. I would take up chickeninabun on her very kind offer the £400 per month will be a big weight off your shoulders. Then you can take the time to sell her.

Come on she is a cob she can go out in a field its summer yes still England but you seem to be causing yourself problems here, if you put her on grass livery and asked someone to keep an eye on her the days you couldn't go offering them a little bit of cash I am sure you will safe yourself at LEAST £250.
If you can afford £400 pcm i am sure you can afford to renew your ad on horsemart with new pics that way she will sell quicker and you won't have to pay the £400 next month.

Hmm sorry I would have said J Thurloe too, can't think of any others. There seem to be several listed in the yorkshire area though (I have just pulled up a few sites) so maybe ring round a few? I think you should def drop you price to more the £2000 mark though, see if you get any more takers.

Ditto - put it out on grass. A similar stream of threads keeps appearing from you, and lots of people have given you great advice. If there are no dealers, stick it in the sales. You need to get it together a bit, as dithering about it does not help!

What a great offer from Chickeninabun.....

Bite her hand off. At least it gives you some time to sort things without panicking.
