What do you guys suggest for my very very fussy dog. She picks at her food and altho shes not seriously underweight she could do with putting some more weigh on.. Have tried raw diet, she look horrified and wouldnt touch it.. Nature diet she can take or leave.. Royal Cannin picks at it sometimes, she currently on Arden Grange Prestige with some cooked chicken mixed thro it.. i have tried giving her her food and if she doesnt eat taking it off her after twenty mins or so but that didnt work either.. i know shes got me trained to her way... all my other dogs eat fine.. shes not bothered about eating with other either. if they come up to her she will back away from her bowl and let them in.. any suggestions?

Feed her separate
Maybe wet the food a little to make it more smelly.
I would try and be persistent with the give and take away method. My boy didn't eat properly for 9 days when we first tried this but after he gave into the battle he now eats every meal.

One of our dogs is like yours and goes through phases of seeming like she's really not fussed with eating. After observing her over time we've come to the conclusion that what she's actually doing is waiting for us to tempt her with something more interesting so we just take her uneaten food away and then give it to her at a later time when she's realised that we're not going to be fooled and by then she's really hungry and wolfs it down.

We feed ours CSJ and Ceri, the lady who owns the company is always happy to talk through any feeding queries. Contact details can be found on csjk9.com
