Loving my boy today - probably cos we didn't do any flatwork! Xcountry schooling with a few from the yard over the course across the road...had to move to the second ring on the 3 ring (we were just on the big ring but he had a few 'I'm half TB therefore actually a racehorse' moments when we were warming up)
we went for the bigger versions of all the fences (not v big at all but not tiny either!) managed to jump three parts of the water (roller in, water, roller out) even though I'm crap at jumping downhill...had one run out which was completely down to me thinking 'oh, did I really want to go for that part of the fence' and him thinking 'damned if I know, let's just skip out to the side while you figure it out!!!'
did a coffin, tyres, barrels, sleepers, banks stone wall...all at a sensible pace, my arms didn't get pulled off me & most of all it was really good fun...
(oh and then I got to meet Druid's new addition Oscar which was quite an honour!!)
