I went out riding for the first time out of the school and walked and trotted down all these little county lanes. It was incredible and I'm still buzzing now!

I started learning to ride in June but am struggling to learn to canter and have been getting despondent with my lack of progress. (I bounce all over the place and then panic and go up my horse's neck!)

Today just made me forget all of my frustration and just enjoy the moment.

If you only started riding in June, you're doing really well - don't worry about the canter, it will come. Hacking is great on a lovely sunny day like today. I love happy posts

Well done - enjoying it is what it is all about! I reckon the canter will come naturally with time! Agree with Muddy_Grey nothing like a good hack on a crisp winter's day!

Fantastic - I bet having had the chance to relax and enjoy yourself on a hack will do you the world of good next time you're in the school too.
