Really heavy rain and thunderstorm..just happened.

I know I wanted rain on my fields but not this much in one go :rolleyes: Anyway thunderstorm just cleared in the last 10 mins all my horses out I do worry when the conditions are horrid...but the times I've rushed up and tried to bring in my mare won't budge...what do you all do..at least non have shoes on :o:)
 
I do nothing but according to some threads many would have been out there like a shot risking life and limb to bring in. You wicked woman!
 
Ours are out, the storm has just left us too. They were all out in the middle of the field eating in the pouring rain, with thunder and lightning crashing around them. Obviously not at all concerned!
 
if i had already left the yard then i wouldn't bother but seeing as i was still there and just had a brilliant lesson i decided he could stay in for the night and go out again in the morning. in the interests of fairness i brought Rocks in too... but i wouldn't go up specially :)

It waited till I was well into the centre of the field gaaahhhggg!

Horses were not bovverd;)

Much better thank you:)...must have been water (I got drenched yesterday) but woke up this morning hardly anything and has got better through the day...go on holiday sat just hope it isnt lulling me into a false sense of security:eek:
 
We had torrential rain for around an hour and a half and drizzled since. We had thunder and lightning, I had to get my boy out the field while Im still in crutches and lead him down the now freshly muddied track, poor sod was shivering (he gets cold as soon as a bit of rain touches him) but wouldnt budge beacause he was scared of my stick and the thunder. I then started drying him in the stable until there was an almighty bang (honestly its the loudest one ive ever heard). The soft ****e nearly jumped on top of me!

Then while drying him in the stable there was an almighty bang (Honestly it was the loudest i'd ever heard) and the big softie nearly jumped on top of me!

LOL Just had the funniest cartoon vision of your horse jumping and you catching it in your arms while horse clings on to you for dear life!
 
My lad comes in at night all yr round as he likes to self harm when he lives out...the great dope :D However if i know thunderstorms are coming i like to have him in!!But he happy to be in if if raining!Brought them ALL in tonight as we had a severe weather warning...STILL waiting for it,should have known better eh,lol!

I have soooooo been missing out!!! Right, new resolution: must buy box set. Now.
 
lads had the blacksmith at half 2 so mum kept them in and put alittle bed downso when i came down i tied them up in the coral thing haha and put there beds down and topped them up and did feeds and hay .. looked rather snug then looked up and the sky was black so brought math in then got jack and just as we were coming to the stable a big clap of thunder came and jack shot into his stable nealry throwing me to the door.then next min it lashed it down it was so loud so the the lads got a very good groom =]
ment to be getting it all again today ... woo
