REALLY Naive/blonde question!!

Im not an idiot i promisee! but have seen on the forum whenever people refer to hay/haylage, they always say ad lib... what daoes this mean :/

Mine just get good quality haylage, as much as they need unless on a diet! But whats ad lib? :/ sorrryyy

as often as they need it, i take it as as soon as they run out they get some more.

Basically what you are doing, as much extra as they want. That's how i've always taken it anyway.

It's Latin (ad libitum) for 'at one's pleasure' .

In other words, they should have hay/haylage all the time so they can choose whether or not to eat it.
