Why do some people make a hard decision a whole lot harder by making you feel s*it about it or coming up with silly suggestions that obviously aint gonna work. Although i would find it very hard i think his pain and suffering needs to end sooner rather than later. Good luck in what you decide (keep us posted) x
I agree with the others. It is your horse, you know her best and your gut will tell you the right thing to do. When I was faced with a similar decision a wise friend said to me 'There are worse things than death' and I have clung to that ever since. Your girls sounds lovely and much loved, other people can be incredibly insensitive and cruel but you have to do what you feel is right for your horse AND for you as you are the only person that has to live with the decision.
