Hi all. So some of you will remember that I had offered my pony to the people loaning her for sale. She has had hock surgery, and as I expected, they don't want to buy her, which is totally understandable.

So, I am going to ship her to America in August. BUT, I let my loan contract lapse because I am a total idiot, and now don't have one month until they stop looking after her. They are buying a horse NEXT WEEK!!! I really thought that they would just keep her until I left, which was silly of me. Anyway, they are being very nice and saying that they will pay until I sort something out.

Problem is: I am a student in London. The pony is in Sussex. I am A STUDENT! I have 28 quid in my bank account. So....do I move her to a yard nearer London, find some sharers.....or, just put her out on loan totally for 6 months....

Anyone ....please! I am totally bug**ed.

She's 14.2hh, tovero, mare, beautiful, jumps 3ft out, good flat work, would fail vetting.

ARGH

What about working livery, or maybe a loan to a riding school or an equine college

Other than that you may have to get a job and do DIY., My best friend worked 3 jobs through University to keep her horse. So it can be done.

Good Luck!

Parents already give me about 400 a month......I am going to ring my mum in a while...its still pretty early there.

I am just looking into working livery now. I currently already work 20 hours a week, and its my final year....and that is what I live off. Tried to do eating nothing but just got hungry....

Thanks for ideas.

This is somewhat of an emergency though.......

Spoke to mum - told me to calm down a bit to start. Rung a friend who thinks has field space which will be cheap, with shelters. She's rugged, so that would be fine, and then get a couple of sharers in.

Ho hum. Mum would give money if really dire, but with all the money already spent on surgery, and being non horsey, its difficult. Plus, they are not exactly rich at the moment due to various problems!
