Well today has turned into a bit of a disaster really, Had the vet out this moring to see how Hector was doing ( I thought he looked loads better) and she tried to lift his front foot up and he went straight up in the air, did the same with the other one, trotting he looks awful behind still, the bute hasnt helped much, so after alot of talking we both decided enough was enough, he will have the next couple of weeks, but we wont put him through the trauma of being shod again.
Then went to work, got back and turned out Jerry, went to get Hector to turn him out, was leading him to the field, when the hairy pony decided to stick his head out of the field shelter (where he is living till he is less wild) Hector freaked, Went up in the air, and some how managed to kick me in the ankle and knock me over, kept hold of him, not sure how and was stuck there for ages as couldnt get up, eventually managed to get through to dad on mobile and he came and took Hector from me and turned him out.
Off we went to A+E, was convinced it was broken, and started panicing about work and what to do with a fit bolshy 5 yr old, but thankfully it is just acute soft tissue damage, and will be ok in a couple of weeks, and no plaster
So not a great day, but have survived it
