Really pi$$ed off with................Please advice needed

Contact the seller, explaining-nicely- the problem, asking her to contact you back within 48 hours. If she does, and offers a solution-or asks you what you would like her to do, then hopefully that is sorted. If not, ebay have a resolution centre so you can go through that, or via paypal if you used them. Her feedback is good, so it doesn;t look like she noticed this, somehow or other. Wasn't a chance the post did it? Assume it reached you with packaging intact, so probably not, but just worth a thought.

I have a rug I was thinking of selling that had one small hole and decided not to because of the very small hole- let alone the mess on the rug you have, I'd be fuming too!

WHY?

Because it was a rambo rug and that is what she said about ithttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150381136883&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

and i trusted her as i would always describe a rug or what ever as accurately as i could i really trusted her.

Plus i did ask about it on here to for advice not saying i should of but i posted the listing on her e to and people said it was a bargain which i thought it was too. obviously not

considering rambo rugs are like over £100 to but new

OH me this is what she replyed to me

what do i do now?

Dear elaine_riddell,

Im sorry you are disappointed, the rug is definately waterproof. I and the rug person were not aware of anything else that needed doing to it, I sent it to her for sorting before I advertised it to get it clean, waterproof and up together. I did not notice any other holes other than the one I contacted you about when I photographed the rug and it was well spread out. If you are unhappy I will take it back and refund the cost of the rug.

id take her up on the offer to be honest of a full refund including the refund of the P&P to send it back to her.

my rug washer lady notices everything and always rings me to let me know there is damage (whether this is to cover her own back in case it comes back damaged and it wasnt when i sent it)

still dont believe her, sorry, theres too much damage for it to go unnoticed.

Result - send it back.

HI,
She has actually stated 'All repairs/wash done professionally so looks nice and smart.' in her advert!
Get a refund from her and complain to ebay.
Good Luck

Just do what she asked, post the rug back to her (trackable!). Tell her you are doing this and tell her you will let her know the cost of return so she can add that to your refund. Don't take the P, if you use Parcels To Go or similar you can get it collected from your home or work and safely couriered back at a decent price. If she treats you fairly and refunds everything I don't see any reason to get vindictive about it and complain to EBay etc.
If you have any problems open a Paypal dispute straight away. Then resolve it knowing that as a buyer Paypal are 90% likely to find in your favour.
For now though, just work through what she's asked you to do, with her feedback I'd be suprised if she doesn't treat you fairly.

Good god....did she need you money to buy glasses?

I would have binned that or used it for spares...glad you are getting your money back.

TBH my mate bought a lovely brand new rug from an e-bay shop...MW combo- looks nice quality from Norti Neddy ( I know this because she was so pleased she's put cards up in the tea-room)....I think there are better quality/cheaper rugs to spend tour money on.

the glue can be seen in the photo so i wouldn't complain about that

i bought a Fal on ebay which didnt have a photo of rug, it has quite a bit of damage like around the hood fastening which is irritating BUT the lady dropped it off and was really nice so i wouldnt have bothered complaining as the rug wasnt too expensive anyway lol

Ask nicely for either the money to repair, reproof and wash etc or ask for a refund.

Rugs that we are hoping to sell wouldn't go up in that state and if they did it would be fully described otherwise it is false advertising!

Hope it all works out for you though!

ok so she has emailed me back but i also phoned ebay and it is in their hands now.

this is what she says

Hi Elaine, I have looked at the photos and the marks on the front on the rug can be seen, as stated the rug was repaired by a professional so I assummed any holes to be repaired therefore anything not mended she probably didnt consider to be significant, I can get a letter to confirm I have had this done if you wish. I did not see them otherwise would have mentioned them as I did with the neck. I am more than happy to refund the £58 on return of the rug. This is obviously a difference of opinion and standards as I consider the rug to good value for what you got it for. You previously stated that it would cost £15 to get it reproofed and repaired, reproofing costs me £6.75 - this has been done so I am prepared to refund £8.25 to save the hassle of readvertising and as good will.

i dont mind sending it back but if she is only prepared to pay me back my £58 then i will be out of pocket of over £8 for her lack of honesty.
