Tried my first novice test today was bit worried as hadnt taken him to comp since november and hadnt done much over winter. I only booked the novice for experience and won!! Really happy cause his such a big horse, we are both new to dressage and it was on grass which i hate anyway! Forgot to ride the last move so had to go back and lost 2 marks but didnt make any difference! I love my horse!! Had been warned about novice 20 as well, maybe its my lucky test! Judge said should get him affiliated as he had a lot of potential and worked wonderfully! Buzzing now, going out to do novice 27 next week feel a bit more chilled about it now, till i get there im sure!I just need to find the right instructor to push us now!

God bit self indulgent post i know but after having almost stopped riding through the winter to get the big chap out and win felt great, judge said such lovely things when she called me over! mickey fantastic and in his mummys good books!

Well done! i did what you did last week and won, then this week she bucked, several times lol! and we were well down the list, so enjoy the moment!

Yeah im sure next week may not be so good!! He feels great at moment finally seems to be growing into his big frame , medium trot was really big and punchy , he is a big show man sometimes! Canter pulled on a bit i think it was the grass under his hooves!

Manor farm next week prem 14 and novice 27 , then going to witham villa week after, just prelim that week then gotta find something for june!

Blaston is a really nice show, dressage arenas tucked away from main showground (not far from Cranoe H) Usually ony have prelims and a novice class... and lots of entries!
