Took my boy back to Willesley today for a check up after his IRAP therapy 2 weeks ago. I'd convinced myself the vet would want to do another treatment but he was really pleased at how well he was moving and is happy for him to go onto gentle ridden work.
The only snag is he's still not allowed out as we need to build the joint up under gentle controlled exercise. So there could be some interesting times ahead.
Can't wait to ride him tomorrow but I think I'll look out my back protector! I'm so excited I'm not thinking about another 3 weeks of mucking out twice a day etc.
I'm just so thrilled at the improvement in him. The vet said some really nice things about his character too which was a surprise as he's been such a git to treat. I'm to ring him with an update in 3 weeks and we'll discuss where to go from there.
