REALLY silly dressage test question

I am cringing posting this but need to know so I can go order my tests online tonight :o Thinking of doing a wee dressage competition in a couple of weeks, just for fun, going to enter novice just to see how it goes then do something a bit less low-key next time if all goes well! So the test is Novice 25. The only copy I can find is dated 2005 (From memory, but definitely not 2010). So my super embarrassing question is, is there another version of Novice 25 from 2010, or would that version be the one that is still used? So confused  Its obvioulsy just unaffiliated if that makes any difference. Thanks :)

Thank you!! I have done these things before, I just have always had the luxury (?) of a scabby photocopy of the test given to me first...now I have to go source these things myself its not so easy!

No they use the same tests for affiliated/unaffiliated Novice25 was last updated in 2005 and is current to date Have u been on British Dressage website Theres some very helpful info on there:)

Yep scouring BD website now. They don't seem to have Novice 25. Has anyone used dressagediagrams.com before? They have it but I'm a bit skeptical of it to be honest...doesn't seem quite so genuine!

I don't know if this is still true but I was stopped by a steward from reading off a Dressage Diagram Test at an unaffiliated show once because it wasn't the official BD version. This was a couple of years ago and it may have changed but worth checking if you need someone to read your test out at the show.

This is a note on the Dressage Diagrams website -

"In official competitions, a commander (or reader) may read the test aloud to help the rider. The commander is only allowed to read what is on the official test sheet.

Our new premium tests (marked ) use the same wording as the test sheet and so are safe for use by a commander. This applies to all forms of printout - the text, standard diagrams and compact diagrams.

Non-premium tests exist because the agreement we have with some copyright holder bar us from using the exact words. The alternative words used still describe the test movements accurately - but they cannot be used by readers. We are converting these as we can, when we negotiate new agreements."

Yep one of the tests I've taken off says 'commanders should use the BD test sheet', the other says 'suitable for use by commander'. So the former couldn't be used to call off at an event, makes sense really. I get entirely put off by getting my test called, and also have nobody suitably horsey that I could butter up to help me even if I wanted to...I'd end up getting movements after I'd passed the letter they were meant to happen at and that type of thing! Or "I don't see a letter G...where's G...oh...you should have halted there..." :p

Sorry, this may be daft, but are you sure that Novice is the easiest level to do for starters? It's got scary (for me) things like medium trot and canter :O Prelim is a bit easier? Sorry, I don't know the level of your horse, maybe it's ok for you :)
